DR. JOHN DAVIS' BOOK PUBLISHED

John J. Davis, Th.D., D.D., former president of Grace College and Grace Theological Seminary, has completed the revision and expansion of his book, Conquest and Crisis: Studies in Joshua, Judges, and Ruth.

The 234-page soft cover book is a concise analysis of Israel's conquest and settlement of Canaan. In revising and expanding the book, Dr. Davis used recent archaeological discoveries, the Hebrew text, and his understanding of and experiences with the Near Eastern culture. A number of new charts, graphs, maps and reports of archaeological finds help the reader to interpret the history and theology of the three Old Testament books.

Dr. Davis is author of 18 books and numerous articles, has served as a senior staff member on 12 archaeological expeditions to Israel and Jordan, participated in the Wheaton Institute of Archaeology, and was Executive Dean of the Near East School of Archaeology in Jerusalem. Conquest and Crisis: Studies in Joshua, Judges, and Ruth may be ordered online at www.bmhbooks.com, by telephone at 1-800-348-2756, and is available in most Christian bookstores.
